Enjoying Essex

students chattingBeing a full-time student at uni can mean that you get far more free time, and more independence to choose what you want to do with it than you're used to! For many of you, gone are the days when you sit in lessons from 9am to 4pm, and don't forget - you still have weekends to fill as well!

How you spend your spare time is completely your choice. Obviously, although when you're at uni you often spend less time actually in class, you will still need to spend some time catching up on reading and stuff for seminars.

Living with friends means days can disappear in a haze of popping onto campus for lectures and to use the library, catching up (gossiping about what happened the night before), cooking (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) and clearing up afterwards, and getting ready to go out that evening.

However, as you will find out in this section, there is loads of different stuff you can do during the day and in the evenings when you are at university. So whether you are the sort of person who wants to get up early and explore, or somebody who prefers to sleep until midday and stay up all night, there are plenty of things to keep you occupied here at Essex.
