The best way to save money on your shopping bill is to
take advantage of the fact that both campuses and thei
r
accommodation is only a short walk away from a supermarket! You can walk there –
do a big shop and get the bus back (or if you're feeling
really lazy you can get the bus there as well). Making the most of the offers
and the value products will help to make your loan stretch
as far as possible. Just don't get carried away and
end up buying things you don't need - just because they're on offer - no matter
how cheap it is you don't need any Pedigree Chum!
The campus shop is awesome for all the bits you forget (especially when you are living on campus) and also does some great offers!
If you are feeling really thrifty then get yourself one of the points cards, for example, Tesco has a Clubcard and shopping at Sainsbury's earns you nectar points. You can then use these to get money off your shopping or even to exchange for vouchers which can be used for all kinds of things; fun days out at theme parks, Blockbuster vouchers and much more.
If you're at the Colchester Campus, Tesco is just that bit too far away, and the international atmosphere on campus has put you in the mind to try something new then you will definitely want pop into your international convenience store located right in the centre of campus. Go Go Global sells a massive range of food and ingredients from across the globe, including China, Japan, Korea, India, Poland, Greece, Mexico, Turkey, Africa and the Caribbean.
Don't forget that you're welcome to attend one of our Open Days throughout the year. If you want to get a feel for the campus, speak to some of the teachers or check out the accommo- dation on offer then it is a great idea to come to our campuses in the summer or autumn when we'll be running an Open Day. Please click here to have a look at our website which gives you all the details you'll need to find out some information about our Open Days.
